A. Guidelines on Application

1. Kau Yan School (Primary Section) is a private school. There are no geographical restrictions on application.
2. The Government’s Primary One Admission Net Mechanism does not apply to our school.
3. A completed application consists of the following:
   a. a completed application confirmation note affixed with a recent photo of the applicant;
   b. a photocopy of Birth Certificate or Identity Card (if the applicant was not born in
       Hong Kong or does not have the previous two documents, please submit the photocopy of passport);
   c. photocopies of school reports or student development reports from the recent two years;
   d. Records of learning experiences and family activities etc. (maximum 5 sheets and print on
       both sides of the paper);
   e. two self-addressed and stamped (HK$1.40) envelopes;
   f.  an application fee of HK$ 100. (By post, please use cheque and made payable to ‘Kau
       Yan School’. Please put the student’s name and application number at the back of the
       cheque.)
4. Completed application confrimation note should be returned to our school either by post or in person.
5. Online application period:20/8/2012(Mon) 9:00a.m. to 7/9/2012(Fri) 5:00p.m.. Printed application forms submission deadline: 10/9/2012(Monday) 5:00p.m.. Notifications for date and time of interview can be checked on our homepage at 14/9/2012(Fri).
6. Printed application forms are available at the school during regular school hours starting from 20/8/2012(Mon) 9:00a.m..
7. Any K3 students from the kindergarten section of Kau Yan school who wish to apply for admission in the primary section are not required to submit an on-line application. Details about the application procedures will be announced in the parent's meeting on 7th September, 2012.
8. If the ‘Red’ or ‘Black’ rainstorm warning signal is issued and/or typhoon signal no. 8 or above is hoisted by 7:30a.m., all interviews will be postponed to 13-10-2012 (Sat) at the same place and time, and the announcement of admission results will be postponed to 29-10-2012(Fri).
