This subject covers nine learning areas which are reading, writing, listening, speaking, literature, Chinese culture, moral affection, thinking and self language study; the first four are skill-oriented, the last five are the content of learning. Therefore, both the language proficiency and individual generic skill of student are enhanced, positive values and attitude of students are nurtured and all-round development is promoted through the learning process of the students.

Comprehensive reading programs are being actively promoted in our school this year in order to help children to nurture good reading habits.
